Image of 5-inch HTC Deluxe leaked on Twitter

If one needs to know where to get the latest information regarding upcoming handsets, then @Evleaks is a good place to start. The Twitter user recently posted a picture of an HTC smartphone called the HTC Deluxe, and in a small caption, the tipster claims that it is a handset designed for the international market.

This handset is believed to be the global version of the Verizon Droid DNA and from the image we can see that it loses the carrier’s branding, and is replaced with the HTC logo that is found on global versions of this handset.

Could be announced by MWC 2013

This handset features a large 5-inch 1080p display and since it is the global version of the Verizon Droid DNA, the specifications should be very similar. The Verizon model comes equipped with a 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor and features 2GB of RAM. As far as connectivity is concerned, this handset comes equipped with LTE and NFC capabilities. However, we have to wait and see if the global variant features the same specifications or if HTC launches it with slight modifications.

There is no official word yet on when this handset will be released, but one can expect it to be introduced at the Mobile World Congress event held in Barcelona next year.

HTC has only recently announced a range of handsets for the Indian market, and these include the current flagship smartphone HTC One X+. So with these handsets making their way to India, we can gather that it will be some time before this handset will be launched in India.

The HTC One X+ is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 AP37 processor. The company claims that the HTC One X+ is 27 percent faster than the HTC One X. The HTC One X+ enables quicker web browsing, fluid gaming and graphic rendering, and speedy downloads.

As per an official statement, the HTC One X+ houses a 2,100mAh battery, giving users up to 37 percent (4.7 hours) more talk time. In addition to 64GB of internal storage, the HTC One X+ also offers users 25GB of Dropbox storage free for two years, and supports expanded storage capabilities via USB.
Here's a quick look at the specs of the HTC One X+:

According to the statement by HTC, the newly launched Self Portrait mode on the front camera captures high quality photos by detecting the human face at various angles and applying enhancements to the skin and eyes. In the Sightseeing mode, one touch of the power button bypasses the lock screen and launches the camera. Two new Gallery views display images and videos, and group them according to the place and time at which they were taken.
Exclusively available on HTC smartphones is Beats Audio. Through Sense 4+, the HTC One X+ introduces a new Tap and Go function, which allows you to connect the phone and your music to Beats speakers.
HTC Connect and HTC Media Link HD expand media sharing and possibilities beyond your HTC smartphone. HTC Connect claims to set a new standard for streaming DLNA audio and video from your HTC One phone to platform-certified home entertainment systems from leading partners such as Pioneer.

For now, things are looking bright for HTC with the One X+, and 2013 appears to be shaping up to be a good year for HTC as it launches the HTC Deluxe.
