Indian manufacturer iBall has added a new tablet to its portfolio with the launch of the Slide Q9703 for Rs 15,999. Despite the relatively low price tag, the tablet boasts specs like a 1.2GHz quad-core processor alongside an octa-core GPU and 2GB of RAM. All that processing power means even the most intensive apps and games should run smoothly.
Games and multimedia content should look fantastic on the 9.7-inch display. That’s because the HD IPS display sports a stunning resolution of 2048 x 1536 pixels, putting it in the "Retina" class of displays. It also means you get a super-dense display thanks to a pixel density of 264 ppi.

The tablet comes with 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable by another 32GB via the microSD card slot. The tablet supports 4K video playback, just like many other low-cost tablets such as the Wickedleak Wammy Magnus, but this just means 4K content is downscaled to play on the tablet. The good news is that most new video formats should be supported.
Connectivity options include the standard Wi-Fi and Bluetooth chips to interface with routers and smartphones along with support for 3G dongles as well. On the back is a 5 megapixel camera, while a 2 megapixel snapper does duty on the front. The Android 4.1 Jelly Bean-running tablet is powered by a capacious 8000 mAh battery that should last quite long under moderate usage.
