Husband claims wife stabbed him over Facebook page

According to a report by the Bryan-College Station Eagle, a man says that his wife stabbed him over something she read on Facebook. His wife, however, said that the fight with her husband started over his drug use.

The 33 year old woman was arrested on felony charges after the police said that she stabbed her husband with a knife. The police said officers responded to a call about disturbance with a weapon. They said a man was outside his residence when they arrived and his hand was bleeding from a small puncture wound. The man said that he was trying to sleep when he heard his wife, Rhonda Roshell Washington, getting upset in the other room, according to the police report.

He went to check on her and saw Washington was looking through his Facebook account. According to the husband, she began chasing him with a knife and stabbed him on his hand. The husband said that he called the police after he shut himself in a room, and Washington left the house.

Causing people to stab other people, supposedly

The police said that officers pulled over Washington, who said that her husband was high on PCP and was acting crazy. Washington said that she was arguing with her husband about his drug use; they began to wrestle and she struck his hand with her keys. The police reported that they hadn’t asked her about the wound at that point.

Washington was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. It is a second-degree felony that is punishable by up to 20 years in prison.

This isn’t the first violent incident involving Facebook. A few years ago, a teen committed suicide because of the bullying she faced in school and over Facebook. Fifteen year old Holly Grogan was tortured and tormented by bullies at her school.  She tried to change schools to get away from the bullies, but the name calling and the bullying followed her.

Her bullies had left nasty messages on her Facebook profile and it was all too much for Holly, who jumped one day from a 30 feet rope bridge that was nearby her home. After the fall, she was hit by passing traffic and died.

The head teacher at St Edwards, Holly's School, had said, "The staff and students were shocked by the news". They would not comment on whether or not the staff were aware of the bullying Holly was going through.
