Huawei wants to one-up itself by launching a P-Series smartphone with a triple-camera setup

Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei is expected to unveil its P-series smartphones on 27 March, well ahead the Mobile World Congress 2018. The smartphones expected to be launched by Huawei at the event are reportedly called the P20 and the P11. Huawei is expected to launch three variants of these smartphones at the event.

According to the leaked images of the case which was revealed, courtesy SlashLeaks, the smartphone is expected to come with a triple camera setup. The images show that the cameras will be aligned vertically with a dual-LED flash at the bottom of the three cameras . The fingerprint lies on the front side of the smartphone.

Previous reports suggest that the triple camera smartphone in the P-series might come with 40 MP resolution and 5X optical zoom. The camera would be developed by Leica, which has already partnered with the company for Mate 10 camera earlier.

One of the case cutout also highlights about the absence of a 3.5 mm jack port on the device.

As reported earlier the smartphone might come in three variants Huawei P11/P20, a P11/P20 Plus, and a P11/P20 Lite. A P11/P20 Pro, which will have iPhone-X like notch is also expected to be launched by by the company.

The colour options of the new smartphones were also leaked earlier. The Huawei P20 which was code-named as “Emily” is expected to be available in Ceramic Black and Twilight colour options. The P20 Plus code-named as “Charlotte” is expected to come in Ceramic Black and Twilight colour options. Whereas the P20 Lite code-named "Anne", is expected to come in three colours including an exclusive Sakura Pink colour option.

The Huawei P-series of smartphones are expected to come with an 18:9 aspect ratio display and a HiSilicon Kirin 970 SoCs inside.
