Huawei launches Ascend G510 and Y300 Android smartphones in India

Huawei has launched new smartphones - the Ascend G510 and the Ascend Y300 - in its Ascend line-up. The phones run on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean out of the box and are powered by dual-core processors. Both the phones come with Huawei's new UI, which the company calls the Emotion UI.

The Huawei Me Widget allows users to better utilise their Huawei smartphone screens by combining favourite contacts, Gallery, Audio Player, Weather and Clock in a single customisable widget. With five preloaded themes, users can customise their UI with themes, wallpaper and fonts.

The Emotion UI also features a “Smart Tutorial” that offers assistance to help entry-level users learn the ins and outs of the UI.

With Profiles, users can select a profile that is most suited to their current context of use. And finally, a special dialer combines Call Log and Dialer for users’ convenience.
