Huawei Honor 5C goes on open sale in stores and online at Rs 10,999

Huawei's much awaited budget smartphone, the Honor 5C has had a couple of successful flash sales in India since its recent announcement. The device packs in decent hardware for a budget smartphone and now the deal gets even sweeter as customers will no longer have to queue up for one.

Huawei's Honor 5C smartphone has finally hit an open sale and will now be available online at Flipkart and at brick and mortar stores at Rs 10,999. The smartphone features an all-metal body with a fingerprint reader on the back and a 5.2-inch IPS LCD Full HD display on the front. It is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 650 SoC with eight Cortex-A53 cores out of which four are clocked at 2GHz and the rest at 1.7GHz. There is 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via a microSD card supporting up to 256GB of storage through its hybrid SIM card slot.

The smartphone comes with a 13MP camera at the back with an f/2.0 aperture and a front 8MP camera with a similar aperture size as the front unit. The battery is rated at 3,000mAh and connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, A-GPS, 4G LTE and a microUSB port. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with the company’s Emotion UI skin on top.

The Huawei Honor 5C will be available in gold, silver and grey. Only the Indian variant features a fingerprint reader on the back.
