If you’ve been using HTC phones, there’s quite a likelihood that you’ve heard about HTC Sense. In case you haven’t, Sense is the user interface that HTC wraps over the operating system of a phone. Now it looks like the HTC Sense will give way to HTC Sensation.
News doing the rounds say that HTC has registered a trademark under the name HTC Sensation. Will it be a customized UI for the HTC Flyer? Well there’s no confirmation whether it’s a UI for tablets or smartphones. All that we know is that the trademark is applied as “User Interface Software” that provides “telecommunication services” for all sorts of mobile devices.
At the very least, it’s safe to assume that we are in for a new interface aimed at either a smartphone, a tablet or maybe both. If it does end up on a tablet, it’ll be interesting to see how HTC’s customised UI will actually function on the Honeycomb tablet.
