Huawei's Honor brand has launched its all-new Honor 8 Lite smartphone in India with a price tag of Rs 17,999. The smartphone features a metal and glass finish, with 2.5D curved edge glass panels on both sides.
The Honor 8 Lite looks very similar to Honor 8. There are 2.5D curved edge glass panels on the back and front with a metal frame sandwiched between them that appears to run around the edges.
There's a 5.2-inch Full HD display on the front under the 2.5D glass. Inside, there's Huawei's own Kirin 655 octa-core chipset that is paired with 4 GB RAM. The smartphone offers an internal storage of 64 GB which is expandable using a microSD card (up to 128 GB).
Moving to the cameras, the Honor 8 Lite features a 12 MP camera with f/2.2 aperture on the back and an 8 MP selfie camera on the front with a wide-angle lens. Connectivity options include a dual hybrid SIM set up with 4G VoLTE support, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, and a micro-USB 2.0 port with USB OTG support.
Powering all of the above is a 3,000 mAh battery and the entire glass and metal package weighs in at 147 grams.
The handset will go on sale from 12 May via offline retailer in India and will be available in two finishes, Premium Black and Blue. The Blue model will arrive a few weeks later.
