Google's Translation App Gets a New Update

The Google translation app for the Android OS was a neat way to have something translated in a language other than English. But having a proper conversation was a bit difficult. But with the new update, users simply have to speak into the device and the Google Translation app does the rest. The update also adds a cleaner layout and an improved input box.

Speak new languages thanks to Google Translate

As you can see the pictures above, all you have to do is press on the microphone icon and start speaking; Google Translate will translate your speech and read the translation out loud. Your conversation partner can then respond in their language and you’ll hear the translation spoken back to you.

The great little app is still in the alpha stage and only supports English and Spanish for the time being. But rest assured, as work progresses, the app has a great future ahead of it

You can try the Translation app for yourself by downloading it from the Android marketplace.
