Google seems to be grooming itself, yet again. This time, however, it seems to be a makeover gone wrong.
As dull as it could get..
The search giant seems to have gone on a virtual clean-up drive of its search results pages. What was once a cluttered garble of unending, pouring information is now amidst bouts of stark changes being made in the way its pages would appear. The appearance, to most would seem very plain, and thereby a boring place to look information for. Also, due to the stark changes, it gets difficult for a lot of information to get stored on one page, which means that users will now have to search for a while longer.
Also, unlike earlier where the links would be underlined, the new design separates search lines by a dotted line. The color scheme used is also way too dull, making the search process a very droopy affair.
If you’re already on Google wanting to check it for yourself and find your search page the way it was when you last saw it, you might want to know that this is a part of Google’s regular tests, which does not show up for all users.
