Google Sends Out Invites for December 7

Google has just sent out invites asking people to join them for some exciting news on the Chrome front. The event which will be held in San Francisco has the tech world very curious. As we had reported earlier, Google is in the final stages of launching its ChromeOS based netbook. The event is also a perfect platform for officially announcing the Chrome 8 web browser .

For the uninitiated, the Chrome netbook will be powered by an ARM processor and will include NVIDIA’s Tegra Graphics chip. A 64GB SSD will act as a storage device. The Chrome 8 web browser on the other hand, will have new features such as built-in PDF reader and will be the first version capable of using the app store through the browser itself. It also fixes over 800 bugs from the beta release.
