Now here’s something cool. We know Google’s mighty useful when you want to run quick currency conversions and the like, but looking for release dates always involved a couple of extra clicks and reading to get our hands on the information. That has now changed, what with Google now crawling for release dates of movies and games and displaying them after a search box query.
Skyrim can't arrive soon enough
It’s a very simple process. All you have to do is type the name of the movie, or game, and add ‘release date’ at the end. Google will then show you the results, with the most mentioned release date being highlighted. There’s also an option to view sources, so you can decide for yourself it the information is reliable or not.
Hopefully this, going forward, translates into Google displaying more than just movies and game release dates, but also gadgets and all kinds of other stuff.
