9 stocks to watch out for today

After languishing for nearly four months, IFCI has seen a smart move on good volumes. The stock has attempted to cross the Rs 49.25 hurdle for the third time in the last 15 days. It did touch a high of Rs 49.30, but closed the day at Rs 49.05. A move above Rs 49.30 can take the stock to the Rs 52.5 level.

We had given a sell call on Jain Irrigation on Friday below Rs 152 which was not triggered on Monday. The stock has, however, pierced this level and touched a low of Rs 151.50. We have a target of Rs 145 for the stock.

Biocon moved up over 3% in the first few minutes of trading on Tuesday. The stock scaled a high of Rs 377.85 and closed at Rs 375.05. There is this news of a couple of multinational companies planning to get into a marketing tie-up with the company for its oral insulin. Though it's early days, the stock has a potential of touching new highs. In the short run, the company can climb to the Rs 390 mark.

An accumulation pattern is visible in sugar stocks, with Bajaj Hindusthan being the strongest among them. The stock has not been able to cross the Rs 70 level over the past two weeks. However, with news from Brazil trickling in due to a poor start to the sugar crushing season, a new move can be expected in these counters. If the stock crosses Rs 70, it can touch Rs 75 in the short term.
