If you’re a regular attendee at Google’s I/O Developer’s Conference, then the bit about freebies may not be news, as such. All this while attendees at the conference have been getting mobile phones as freebies.
This year, however, proved to be an exception. Attendees were in for a hugely pleasant surprise, amidst all the other surprising announcements. Google, along with Samsung announced that all the 5,000 attendees at this year’s Google I/O Developer’s Conference were given a Samsung Galaxy 10.1 Android tablet each. This is the first time Google has given out anything other than phones as freebies, making good its claim that this year’s conference would be the biggest and grandest ever.
