Google today announced that it has added a new education category in the app marketplace, it plans to help schools and universities easily discover and deploy new web applications that integrate with their existing Google Apps accounts.
The new category includes more than 20 applications from 19 different vendors. The apps include popular apps such as Aviary (which helps in creating, modifying and sharing images, logos, presentations, audio tracks, podcasts & more).
Grockit, which is a social platform for learning that provides students with collaborative real-time study rooms and content as well as LearnBoost, which provides a free, all-in-one gradebook and lesson planning software for teachers.
All of the educational programs and content is integrated with Google apps through a single sign-on and can be accessed through Google’s universal navigation bar. For more information on the apps, you can visit the Google EDU Marketplace by clicking here.
