Google+ Crosses 10 Million Users Mark

This clearly has to be the best report card I’ve seen in a long, long time. Search giant Google’s latest attempt at going social, seems to have hit the bull’s eye. Launched just weeks back, reports suggest that Google+ has already crossed the 10 million users mark. Although, an official confirmation from Google is yet to come, the service is being touted as successful and a worthy contender to Facebook.

A milestone achieved

It still is a long way for Google+, in terms of the number of users availing its service, considering that Facebook has 750 million users and Twitter claiming it has 300 million users. Now, we're not sure if Facebook achieved that kind of love, so soon. Many are still not on Google+, one of the reasons being the service for most parts, hasn’t even had a public roll out.

Google+, since its launch has been looking at renovating the concept of social networking, or so it seems by introducing features like Circles, wherein it was possible for users to distinguish their work colleagues from their best buddies. Then, with features like Hangout, Huddle and Upload, Google+ tried to outdo Facebook. And, dare we say, it succeeded, at least to garner that initial push.

In the process of adding several new features to it, syncing address books for import on the service being among the ones to come soon, Google+ has many milestones to cover.
