Google Celebrates Harry Houdini in Doodle

Google received a patent for its Doodle a few days ago and almost in celebration, they doodled in honour of escape artist Harry Houdini today. The Doodle is very reminiscent of the artwork from carnivals in the late 1800-early 1900s that Houdini was a prevalent part of in the United States.Let's see him escape out of this one

Harry Houdini was born Erik Weisz on March 24th, 1874 in Budapest, Hungary and spent the majority of his life in the United States. He changed his name to Harry Houdini when he was 9. His most famous escape routines were the handcuff escape, the Chinese water chamber of torture escape, the buried alive escape and the straight jacket escape. He even worked in Hollywood as an actor and producer in films like "The Man from Beyond" and "Haldane of the Secret Service". He died in 1926, at the age of 52 from peritonitis, secondary to a ruptured appendix.
