Genius Launches the HS-300A, a PC Headset

Taiwan-based computer peripherals company, Genius has let loose another product. This one is the HS-300A, a PC headset that. It’s one of those headsets which has a band that goes round the back of your head and looks like most other headsets available. Even the functions seem to be pretty standard. This headset apparently has a ‘special shape and design’ that gives you a lightweight and personalized fit for greater comfort. The ear pads are supposed to prevent audio leakage and provide good sound for music and the microphone is adjustable. The single-sided cable reduces tangles and is easy to store. The HS-300A is available in two colors, blue and silver.

A pretty standard headset

Here are the technical specifications:

  • Foldable: No
  • Volume control: No
  • Frequency response: 20Hz-20KHz
  • Unit driver: 30mm
  • Sensitivity: 108dB for greater
  • Impedance: 32ohm
  • Cable Length: 1.8m

So as you can clearly see, this headset is pretty ordinary and doesn’t really seem to have much to offer. You’ll probably find hundreds of them lying around at call centers and cyber cafes soon enough, though. The HS-300A is available at the price of USD 8.7 (Rs. 394.4) and comes with a one year warranty. This one seems like is an affordable, entry level headset. Any takers?
