One of the most awaited players in the crowded tablet space has been Samsung’s Galaxy 8.9 earlier and 10.1, more recently. It now spells double whammy for those awaiting their launch in India, as according to a report in The Mobile Indian, it is being learnt that Samsung is all set to make an announcement of the launch of their awaited player for the Indian market, at an event on August 10, 2011. The actual launch however can be most certainly expected to happen sometime sooner. In a conversation that The Mobile Indian had with a spokesperson from Samsung, it was revealed that the Delhi event had been scheduled for this very launch.
However, exact details on the pricing, and the subsequent availability of the tablets weren’t made clear by the spokesperson. However, taking one of our earlier news pieces on the Indian pricing of the tablets being revealed into perspective, it may be safely presumed that Galaxy Tab 10.1 and 8.9 will be available for about Rs. 35,000 and Rs. 28,000, respectively.
