Fujifilm has recently launched the HS30EXR in India, and this new model adds to the brand’s bridge camera line up that feature high zoom capabilities and super macro mode.
Fujifilm states that it is a complete package of features, which include the EXR technology behind its sensor and processor, high speed shooting functions, film simulation mode, a high contrast 3.0-inch large LCD screen, advanced shooting modes etc. Fujifilm has priced this product in India at Rs 26,999.
Announced in India ahead of the festive season
Fujifilm states that with a 1cm super macro function, the FinePix HS30EXR, the camera can capture a lot of detail in the subject. The Fujinon lens delivers optical quality across the entire zoom range from wide-angle 24mm to 30x telephoto.
In addition, Intelligent Digital Zoom, which is controlled by the Function (Fn) button offers 60x magnification power for occasions when users require even telephoto power to pull in distant details. This zooming feature enables photographers to tackle almost any type of subject matter from landscapes to fine details of wild animals.
Fujifilm claims that while capturing 1080p Full HD movie at 30 frames per second, HS30EXR also has some key improvements from the predecessors. It allows a user to focus manually during movie shooting for more creative focusing effects.
When it comes to still images, the technologies used for Face Detection and Tracking AF have been combined to create face tracking AF. It is used for capturing subjects in motion.

In early September, after announcing the highly acclaimed X-Pro1, Fujifilm has launched the X-E1, the brand’s second interchangeable lens camera. The major highlighted features of the X-E1 are that it comes in a portable form factor and has a fast auto focus speed. The Fujifilm X-E1 comes loaded with a 16 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS Sensor with an OLED electronic viewfinder, a smaller body with built-in flash and the X mount for the Fujinon XF lens range.
