Nokia's tied up with Datamation Foundation and Idea Cellular to give away mobile phones to over 500 households in 5 villages of Uttar Pradesh. These devices will come preloaded with Ovi Life Tools. The villagers will also get Rs. 200 as a monthly prepaid top off expense.
The villages are in the Raebareli area and specifically are Pure Rajaram, Pure Tilak Ram, Bhalbhadra Khera, Baletha and Poore Chamaar. Nokia's aim is to stimulate progress through mobility.
