If you thought that the shutting down of two fake Apple stores in China was the end of the story, then perhaps this bit of information should get you to think otherwise. As many as 22 fake stores, excluding those that were shut down earlier, have been unearthed in the Kunming province in South Western China. This comes after the discovery of fake Apple stores with the signatory Apple logo in the region, prompting a wide scale investigation in China.
More to come?
Although a confirmation of the authenticity of the products sold in the store didn't come through (the store managers claim that they sell genuine Apple products), the stores themselves have faced a lot of flak. The department of Industry and Commerce in China, after a strong reaction from Apple China, asked these fake store owners to stop using the signatory Apple logo. A couple of these stores faced a shutdown, earlier.
If you have been following our reports on the fake Apple stores in China, then you'd know that these stores have been functioning and flourishing, and even the employees believe that they're working for Apple.
