Facebook for iPhone gets some major privacy changes

Facebook for iPhone got some pretty big privacy changes that follow some of the same changes Facebook implemented for privacy via its website. These changes include making sharing content easier with who exactly you want to share with. They've added the ability to tag friends and places in posts from the iPhone. They've also added the ability to share external links from a web view. There is a new design for Profile and Group walls and finally, they have improved the sharing tool to add privacy controls on posts. Your iPhone Facebook app will match the privacy settings that you have set on the website.

Some other improvements Facebook made to the iPhone app is they have improved Notifications speed, they've fixed some Chat bugs, they've made it easier to select filters in your News Feed, they've fixed a bug with the Notifications bar disappearing, they've fixed a number of Photo bugs and of course, the general improvement in overall performance and stability.


According to reports, Facebook's used this update to remove the Facebook for iPad code that leaked out a few months ago.
