Firstpost's editor-at-large Sanjeev Srivastava who attended the press conference in Delhi, said that Jayalalithaa was calm, clear and unflappable even in the face of provoking questions from sections of the media. In the media conference, she had also dismissed talks of an alliance with the UPA as "premature" and had addressed issues such as her relationship with the defeated DMK and her stand on the Sri Lankan Tamil issue.
