Epson launches new range of HT projectors in India

Epson, a leader in digital imaging and the top projector maker for the last 10 years running, has introduced four new projectors focused on the home market in India. The highlights of the launch are two groundbreaking models for home theatre users - EH-TW6000 and MG-850HD. The Epson EH-TW6000 being the company’s first 3D projector boasts the world’s brightest 3D images for a home theatre projector, while the Epson MG-850 being the world’s first HD projector comes with a dock for popular Apple devices.

The EH-TW6000, which has been designed for avid 3D and HD movie lovers, is also Epson’s first 3D projector, offering the brightest 3D images in the world. The 480 hertz frame refresh rate is twice as fast, compared to most 3D projectors, which minimises the ‘blackout time’ between 3D image frames. It also has a pair of 10W speakers, and an auto colour mode that automatically calibrates the image brightness and colour to suit the ambient lighting environment. The projector is priced Rs.1,10,000. Next is the MG-850HD, the world’s first Apple device HD projector that comes with a convenient dock, which allows users to connect their Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod to play back stored photos or movies. The projector also has a set of two 10 watt high quality stereo speakers that allow it to double up as a music player. This one’s priced at Rs.49,990.

Apart from this, Epson also launched its most affordable home theatre projector, yet: the Epson EH- TW480 (Rs.48,000) and its newest ‘all-in-one’ projector – the Epson EH-DM30HD (Rs.52,000), which includes a built-in DivX- capable DVD player and two powerful stereo speakers. With a large mass of movie enthusiasts in India and with gaming and sport viewing growing exponentially in popularity, especially among the youth, the market for large screen home entertainment has been growing rapidly. With the new projectors launched today, Epson expands on its market-leading home theatre range to offer an even wider selection allowing home users to choose the most suitable model for their needs.
