Among the many goodies displayed at Comic-Con in San Diego this year, an interesting announcement was made. A game based on the Showtime series, Dexter, will come soon to Facebook. The game is called Slice of Life and revolves around the serial killer vigilante. A trailer was revealed at Comic-Con and the game's been developed by Ecko Code. It will be released in September along the Season 6 television premiere (in the US).
Here's your chance to kill people on Facebook
In the game, players will actually take on the role of Dexter Morgan, and will have to stalk victims, satisfy the Dark Passenger within, find evidence and complete missions. The game will, interestingly, tie in with the episodes that will have aired on television, so each Monday morning, the game will be updated based on the episode that was aired on television the night before. Ecko calls this game "cas-core" gaming because on the one hand, it's casual i.e. built for a medium like Facebook and on the other hand, the game assets have been built in a 3D massively multiplayer online client. Watch the video below for a trailer of the game.
