Counter-Strike may be a hundred years old but it is still without a doubt one of the most popular multiplayer games out there. In fact, just the other day I was wondering if Valve was working on a proper sequel. And now, it seems, they just may.
It's been too long
Rumors have been flying all over the Internet regarding a top secret game being tested at Valve that some believe to be a sequel to Counter Strike. According to certain “testers” that Valve flew in to their secret headquarters, this game is called Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and it’s presumably running on a revamped version of the Source engine. Other changes include new weapons, grenades and other stuff which we should hopefully get to know in the next couple of days.
So what do you think? Will Valve tweak the game to appeal to the Call of Duty/Battlefield crowd or will it stick to its tried and tested formula? Either way, I hope we get some new info STAT (always wanted to say that by the way).
