Coolpad launches Note 5 Lite with 3GB RAM and VoLTE support for Rs 8,199

Coolpad announced the launch of its latest budget smartphone, Coolpad Note 5 Lite in an event. The new smartphone comes with 3GB RAM and 4G VoLTE support and is pegged to be the basic version of Coolpad Note 5 that was launched back in September. One thing to note is that the Coolpad Note 5 will be exclusively available on Amazon India starting 21 March 2017 for Rs 8,199.

The Coolpad Note 5 Lite is equipped with MediaTek MT6735P processor clocked at 1GHz with 3GB RAM. The smartphone will be equipped with a 5.0-inch IPS display panel with an effective resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels covered by 2.5D curved glass. It comes with Android Marshmallow 6.0 based Cool UI 8.0. The company has added a Mali 720 GPU for the smartphone to take care of all the gaming needs of the smartphone. The smartphone comes with 16GB internal storage and the slot of add expandable storage up to 64GB using the microSD card.

Coolpad has added a 13MP camera module on the back along with a dual-LED flash and 8MP camera module on the front with another LED flash. Note 5 adds a fingerprint sensor on the back panel of the smartphone. The company has added 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n 802.11, Bluetooth v4.0, 3.5mm headphone jack, microUSB in terms of connectivity options. In addition to connectivity options, Coolpad has now included an accelerometer, an ambient light sensor and proximity sensors to increase the functionality of the smartphone. Last but not the least, the smartphone is powered by a 2,500mAh battery that provides 200 hours of standby battery backup.
