CommunicAsia 2010: Yahoo! Announces Messenger One App in Beta

Aside from their ‘Yahoo! Phone’ from Alcatel , Yahoo! also announced their Messenger One app in beta at CommunicAsia 2010. Fighting rival Google in any way they possibly can, Yahoo!'s new new app, isn’t just designed for chatting with online buddies but it can also be used to do much more and tries to fully integrate your online Yahoo! lifestyle with your handset while you’re on the go. It’s created to be a universal address book as well as a means to connect to your email and IM of course. The application allow you log into your account and access chat, your Yahoo! Mail inbox, upload and back up contacts to your Yahoo! account and also provided the latest news feeds.

According to a report, the first country to get the app and in their local language, is Indonesia. For now only BlackBerry users have the ‘privilege’ of using the app. Supported handsets include the Bold 9000 and 9700 as well as the 8900 and 9630. You can download the app from -
