The Sony Ericsson LT26i had been referred to by several names in the past and it was most commonly referred to by its codename – Nozomi. At CES 2012, Sony Ericsson has officially announced the handset and has christened it the Xperia S. While it may have been the brand's worst kept secret, there is nothing as tantalizing as an official unveiling. As per a blog post by SEMC Blog, this handset is devoid of the Sony Ericsson branding and instead has just the ‘Sony’ logo.
Xperia S available in two colour options
This handset will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread and is expected to receive the Ice Cream Sandwich update by the second half of 2012. Here is a look at the specifications of the Sony Xperia S:

- 1.5GHz dual-core processor with a MSM8260 chipset

The Sony Xperia S will be available in two colours, which are black and silver and should be available for purchase by the end of the first quarter in 2012.
