CES 2010 was certainly exciting this year with plenty of technology making its way to the showcase floor. One of the most, if not the most interesting items, (interesting depending on your gender and lifestyle of course) of technology that was showcased was by a company called True Companion. The company has developed the world’s first talking, feeling, interactive, personality induced, anatomically accurate female sex robot called Roxxxy. When I say ‘anatomically accurate’, I mean it. Roxxxy is also capable of responding to touch in a very intimate way, to cut to the chase she can even have an orgasm.
Her AI is designed to be interactive with ‘users’, I mean ‘owners’ (there’s actually no politically correct way to term it). She comes preloaded with up to five different personalities that include -
- Frigid Farrah (reserved and shy)
- Wild Wendy (outgoing and adventurous)
- S&M Susan ("ready to provide your pain/pleasure fantasies")
- Young ("she is oh so young (barely 18) and waiting for you to teach her")
- Mature Martha ("she is very experienced and would like to teach you")
The profiles can be altered and also shared online with others via a community and also exchanged. Roxxxy also has a life-like synthetic skin that hides an anatomically correct articulated skeleton that replicates human movements and sensors placed all over her body to sense touch. She even has a mechanical heart that’s responsible for powering an internal liquid cooling system. If this is where the robot industry is heading, I’m sure we’re all on board.
Incidentally the company also plans on releasing a male version called Rocky, so ladies, you’ll have to wait a while.
