It has just been a few days since the Galaxy S8 hit certain markets around globe and it is already facing issues. First it was the red tint issue on the display to which Samsung said it will roll out a software update to fix the issue.
Now a new report says that some users are facing Wi-Fi and wireless charging issues which is a much serious problem. According to the Wall Street Journal, Samsung is aware about the Wi-Fi issue and will release a second software update to fix the issue. This update will be limited to South Korea where Samsung identified a fault in the wireless access point of a local carrier. Samsung went on to say that the red tint issue and the Wi-Fi problem are not related to any product defects.
Regarding the wireless charging problem, Samsung has not address the issue as of yet. Basically some users are unable to charge the smartphone wirelessly and it’s unclear what causes the problem. This could mean that the S8 won’t properly work with older wireless charging hardware, which it actually should. Maybe Samsung is making sure that users don't end up blowing up batteries again?
We'll keep you updated in case Samsung releases an official statement.
