This year has been especially bad for celebrities...wouldn't you say? Natasha Richardson, Jade Goody, Michael Jackson, Farrah Fawcett, Patrick Swayze, Stephen Gately and now Brittany Murphy. And each time Twitter was inundated with updated-by-the-second morsels of info, trivia about the departed and of course tributes.
Actress Brittany Murphy's sudden death evoked a spate of heartfelt tweets by her peers.
Ashton Kutcher wrote "2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine. My deepest condolences go out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband, & her amazing mother Sharon. See you on the other side kid."
Other celebrities also took the stage to pay their respects and of course express their disbelief.
