Bose, famous for their lifestyle speaker systems, have launched a new portable speaker for mobile devices simply called the SoundLink wireless mobile speaker. It features Bluetooth allowing you to sync your phone or tablet to the speaker and stream audio wirelessly. This is a worldwide launch, and starting today, you’ll be able to pick it from any of their authorized stores. Like all Bose products, it comes at a premium. The base model which features standard trim with a dark gray corduroy nylon cover retails for Rs.19,013 whereas the LX variant which comes with dark brown leather cover will cost you Rs. 23,513.
Packs quite a punch!
The speakers pack in four low profile neodymium transducers which is designed to deliver clear highs and mid-range notes. The low end is taken care of by dual-opposing passive radiators. The position of the radiators is supposed to negate vibration, thus giving you better sound. Bose have used their own proprietary electronic and signal processing algorithms to reproduce good sound from such a small unit. We’ve been testing the SoundLink and were quite impressed with the wide soundstage it’s able to deliver.
Stay tuned for the full review.
