Blackberry KEYone demand is “extremely high” in the US market according to TCL

The Blackberry KEYone which was launched last month in the US is getting good response from buyers. The phone according to the company (TCL), the demand for the smartphone is “extremely high” in the market and holds the “Best Seller” tag in the category  of unlocked phones in Amazon USA store.

TCL the exclusive global manufacturer and distributor for BlackBerry branded smartphones stated “It is encouraging to see this level of excitement and momentum around our BlackBerry smartphone launch. We understand customers are facing issues with stock outs when trying to purchase their KEYone.”

The company added “We’re working closely with our retail partners, ensuring additional stock is available ASAP so they can fulfill customer orders”. The Blackberry KEYone has a 4.5-inch display with an unusual 1,680 x 1,080 resolution with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset inside. The phone is seen as a budget to mid-range handset. The device has 3 GB RAM with 32 GB of internal storage and is expandable up-to 1 TB.

The camera on the back is a 12 MP unit (same as on the Google Pixel) while the front-facing selfie camera comes with a humble 8 MP sensor. All of the above is powered by 3,505 mAh battery which along with the almost Full HD display and the battery happy Snapdragon 625 should deliver some good battery life figures.

The "key" to the BlackBerry Keyone is the one feature every red-blooded BlackBerry fan has always wanted, the physical keyboard. While the features are mostly the same as the BlackBerry Priv, owners will now find a fingerprint reader embedded into the space bar. Thanks to the height of the device, the keyboard has more breathing space as compared to the crammed keyboard located below the Priv’s display.
