BenQ Launches the XL2410T, 23.6-inch 3D LED Monitor

This monitor seems to have some killer specs such as Full HD, a 16:9 Aspect Ratio, 2ms response time, 120Hz refresh rate which is 3D capable. The XL2410T is aimed at hardcore gamers, as it has a set of gaming display modes that include the FPS mode (First Person Shooting), co-developed by two legendary Counter-Strike players – Emil “HeatoN” Christensen and Abdisamad “SpawN” Mohamed.

Developed with the help of gamers, for gamers

BenQ says that the XL2410T has been designed in a special way, for one purpose – to win. The monitor has two hotkeys; one for changing the display mode, Full; Aspect; Overscan; 1:1; 17”; 19”; 19” Widescreen and 22” Widescreen. The second hotkey is Smart Scaling, which lets the users adjust picture size in original input to the screen’s limit. This way, with the Display Mode function, users can play in whatever resolution size they are comfortable with.

Our in-house gaming expert, Avinash Bali took a crack at the XL2410T, and here’s what he had to say:

“The video they showed us was pretty sweet. Everything seemed real in 3D, especially the last scene where a car skidded, and it actually felt like the gravel was coming straight at me. On the other hand, I played Need for Speed – Hot Pursuit, and it gave me a headache, but this was probably because the game wasn’t in native 3D.”

So, it seems like the technology is really good, but maybe we need to test this with a few really good games in stereoscopic 3D to find out what it’s really capable of doing. The XL2410T has an MRP of Rs. 31,200.
