Battlefield 3 is off to a rather successful start as critics the world over, us included, have unanimously praised its addictive multiplayer. To make sure everyone plays their game for a long, long time, DICE have decided to release a new map pack this December called the Back to Karkand pack. This pack is a basically a bunch of popular Battlefield 2 maps remade using their new Frostbite 2 engine. These include Strike at Karkand, Wake Island, Gulf of Oman and Sharqi Peninsula.
Never leave the Battlefield
Also included in this map pack are five new dog tags, five new achievements/trophies, three new vehicles (DPV, BTR-90, F-35B STOVL jet fighter), 10 new weapons and persistent unlocks. Best of all this map pack is free to everyone who ordered the Limited Edition of the game. Pricing or a concrete release date have not yet been confirmed.
