Assassin's Creed II was brilliant so it was only but a matter of time before Ubisoft hit us with a sequel starring Ezio Auditore de Firenze.
As it turns out they started production on Assassin’s Creed III immediately after the second game and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood as it's called will allow you to "Live and breathe as Ezio, now a legendary master assassin, in his struggle against the Templar order. Lead your own brotherhood of Assassins and strike at the heart of the enemy: Rome. And for the first time, take part in an innovative multiplayer layer allowing you to embody an assassin of your choosing and define their killing style."
The inclusion of multiplayer doesn’t surprise me as it was only a matter of time before it was injected into the series. I only hope it’s not a half-assed job like BioShock 2. Either way we should get more details at E3 2010.
