If you’ve followed Apple for some time, you might be able to guess that they usually launch their products in June or July. From the news going around, an AT&T representative has reported that the smartphone will not be making it later this summer.
Let the rumours begin
One of MacRumors’ readers had apparently called up AT&T because his eligibility date for a subsidized update had been pushed back to five months. On enquiring about the reason, an AT&T rep gave him the following statement:
“Apple has informed us that they do not plan to release the iPhone in the June to July timeframe, though there will be a newer version in the future. Unfortunately, we have not been given a release time for the new phone. We will release this information on our website when it is available to us.”
Well that definitely doesn’t hold enough ground to say that the Cupertino-based company will not be launching their stuff as usual in June, but we’re still wondering whether the unveiling will actually take place sometime in September this year.
