Apple's 12 Days of Gifts kicks off with free games, books, apps, and songs

Apple has officially kicked off its 12 Days of Gifts festivities. The company will be offering a “gift” every day, in the form of songs, books, movies apps and more via iTunes to its users for the next 10 days.

The 12 Days of Gifts for iOS users kicked off on December 26, with an exclusive EP from Justin Timberlake. It’s interesting to note that the EP consisted of four of his live performances from the 2013 iTunes Festival. Before the official giveaway started, the app also delivered a bonus song and video from Lorde, of Royals fame, called No Better.

Day two of the giveaway has brought along Tiny Thief, a game from Rovio Stars. The app that generally costs $2.99, is available for free for today. The game is a heavy one at 47.3MB, so you need to make sure that you have enough space. Inside the game, you need to click and have your character interact with objects and discover a secret treasure. There are about 25 levels to the game and you can start playing right away.

The 12 Days of Gifts will go on all the way till January 6 into the new year. Each “gift” will be available for free download only for 24 hours, so you may want to step on it. You can install the 12 Days of Gifts app on your Mac and iOS devices. Note that all content may not be available in all countries, so you may miss out on some apps or games.
