Angry Birds Seasons Gets the Luck o' the Irish

We're not huge celebrators of St. Patrick's day here in desistan but Rovio Mobile's giving us a reason to go out and crack open a pint of Guinness anyway. The next Angry Birds Seasons will be St. Patrick's Day themed and will be released on the day of the Irish patron saint itself, March 17th. Rovio Mobile CEO Peter Vesterbacka spoke at the 25th Annual Game Developer Conference (GDC) confirming this Seasons update. Just like the Halloween version had jack-o-lanterns, bats and lots of orange, the Christmas version had snow, ice and santa's hats, the Valentine's Day version had much pink and many hearts, we're guessing this Irish jig will contain lots of shamrock, pots of gold and hopefully pig-leprechauns.

So here's what's in the pipeline over the next few months for the unstoppable feathered fury. Seasons is going to get in update in March, Angry Birds Rio is also expected to release in March. Come April, Angry Birds will come to Windows Phone 7. It really feels like with Angry Birds, Christmas is not just a Seasons update but a year round phenomenon, the game is just a giant gift that keeps on giving!
