Android 2.2, Froyo, Offers Auto-Upadte of Your Apps

Android’s next update version 2.2 is not going to called Froyo. In case you’re unaware and are wondering if Google has given up calling their updates by names of tasty treats, Fro-yo is actually short for Frozen Yogurt. The one significant difference that the Froyo version brings to the ‘table’ so to speak, is that it will allow for automatic updates of your apps. For Android handset users who have a long list of new apps on their handset, they will be given an option to auto update apps of their choice. No longer will you need to manually check to see if there are any updates for your apps.

Some of the other updates would include -

  • Free additional RAM
  • OpenGL ES 2.0 enhancements
  • Flash 10.1 support
  • ixed problem with “crazy screen” / Resolution of cross multitouch
  • Activation of Color Trackball
  • Enable FM radio

The update should be out in a couple of months according to reports. The list of Dell Android handsets that recently made the mobile scene are all going to be available with the new update except for the Aero which just might get an upgrade later.
