Nokia has announced a new update for some of its Windows Phone 8 handsets. The update, dubbed the Amber update, aims to bring the software features of the just-unveiled Lumia 925 to other Lumia devices. All existing Windows Phone 8 Lumia devices will be getting the update, except for the Lumia 620, which doesn't have FM Radio capability.
The update will bring a lot of features to Lumia devices, including the ability to turn on the FM Radio feature that has been so far dormant in Lumia's handsets. Other features in the update include Nokia's new Smart Camera app and the Lumia 925's double-tap to wake function. As of yet, Nokia hasn't given any concrete date for the update's release, but it will be making its way to devices soon.

The Lumia 925 was announced earlier today. The company calls it a new interpretation of its flagship—the Lumia 920. It introduces a metal design and showcases the latest PureView camera technology, new features and third party applications coming to the Nokia Lumia range.
The Nokia Lumia 925 introduces metal for the first time to the Nokia Lumia range, bringing appeal and unique benefits like increased robustness.
The Nokia Lumia 925 comes with an advanced lens technology and next generation imaging software to capture clearer, sharper pictures and video, including the best low-light images. The Nokia Lumia 925 also introduces the new Nokia Smart Camera mode, which is coming as an update to all Lumia Windows Phone 8 smartphones. Nokia Smart Camera offers an easy way to capture ten images at once and edit the pictures with options like Best Shot, Action Shot and Motion Focus for creating the perfect high quality image.
