Back in December, Gearbox had released a trailer for Aliens: Colonial Marines that gave us a glimpse of the game's story. Judging by the events of the trailer, it looks like the game will be making heavy use of the Aliens mythos.

According to the trailer, the story involves the titular colonial marines responding to a distress call on the USS Sulaco. The game is set to focus heavily on narrow level design, causing paranoia in the players thanks to the Xenomorphs' ability to kill quickly.

Earlier in December, it was revealed that the Limited Edition for Aliens: Colonial Marines will be released in India on launch day. The limited edition includes four movie characters that will be playable in the multiplayer, Ripley’s iconic flamethrower as a weapon and more options for customising your marines. The limited edition will be the Day One Edition in India.

The game gives you a plethora of unique features: you can enlist in the Colonial Marine Corps, which helps you get tooled up with classic Colonial Marine weapons, including pulse rifles, motion trackers and flamethrowers. You can also Drop-in/Drop-out of co-operative gameplay. The game also includes competitive multiplayer with loadouts and upgrades. You can earn experience to get perks, new weapons and new looks for your squad.

Here’s a summary of the game’s plot according to the developers: “Aliens: Colonial Marines begins with an ostensibly abandoned ship, the U.S.S. Sulaco, recovered in orbit around LV-426. Players lead a group of highly trained United States Colonial Marines as they board the deserted craft to uncover the fate of the crew. They will have to fight to survive unspeakable horrors and their own anxieties as they chase down the truth behind a galaxy-spanning deception that places humanity at the mercy of the most murderous and deadly species in the universe. Aliens: Colonial Marines features authentic environments, such as the surface of LV-426 and Hadley’s Hope, weapons inspired by the film series and is designed to provide an exhilarating and engaging new chapter in the Aliens universe.”
