It’s been a while since we’ve played a co-operative centric first person shooter and we honestly thought Gearbox Software’s upcoming Aliens Colonial Marines would cure that itch but sadly, it won’t. Why? Because the game’s been pushed back giving Gearbox Software additional time to polish up their shooter set in Ridley Scott’s famous Alien universe.
Come at me bro
Publisher SEGA released an official statement to GameInformer explaining the delay, "Aliens: Colonial Marines is a process of creativity and invention and those don't necessarily follow the structure of an assembly line. While setting clear goals, deadlines and predictions is helpful, they are often subjective. We don't want to sacrifice the creative process just for the sake of following a blue print. We prefer to have the creative discovery shape that blue print because our goal is to make a great game, and we are prioritising this goal over the previously targeted date."
No new release date has been mentioned but we do get a new cinematic trailer that makes you want the game even further. We also wonder whether this delay will affect Gearbox Software’s other co-op themed shooter, Borderlands 2 that’s supposed to release this year as well. Or is it?
