Inspan has launched the ADATA's 60GB S510 SSD in the Indian market, which claims to be a cost-effective SSD upgrade to the existing systems and also for the new SATA 6GB/s enabled computers. The S510 uses the new generation SandForce SF-2200 series controller that comes with native support for the SATA 6GB/s platform. The S510 is capable of reaching 550 MB read speed and 510 MB write speed, with 4K random write speeds as high as 85,000 IOPS. ADATA had recently launched the waterproof and shockproof HD710 portable drive in india.
Cost-effective and reliable
It promises to offer both desktop and notebook computers with unprecedented high-speed experience. Solid state drives do not require defragmentation and support the Windows TRIM command. The S510, which offers a vibration-free running and also consumes low power for an efficient performance. It takes full advantage of the 6GB bandwidth transmission capability.
This 2.5-inch drive measures 100mm x 69.85mm x 9.5mm and weighs 76 grams. It delivers multimedia data transfers with read speed up to 200 MB/s and write speed of 75 MB/s. It operates at temperature ranging from 0°C to 70°C and storage temperature from -40°C to 85°C. The technical spec sheet also reveals power consumption of 4.7W in active and 0.6W in Idle, while it offers 1500G shock resistance. The SSD also has a 120GB storage space option.
