Acer launches its Swift 7 with Core i7 and 4G LTE connectivity at CES 2018; claims it to be world’s thinnest laptop

Acer has announced the launch of its latest ultraportable, the Acer Swift 7 as CES 2018 approaches.

The company also issued a claim that this is “world’s thinnest laptop” at 8.98 mm thickness. This new ultraportable laptop is the fact that it is equipped with seventh-generation Intel Core i7 processor along with Intel XMM 4G LTE connectivity for ‘always-on’ experience.

The device comes with a unibody aluminium chassis and packs a 14-inch FHD IPS display with Acer Colour Intelligence. Acer has added Corning Gorilla Glass on the touchscreen and touchpad to protect them from any damage. In addition to the Nano SIM slot on the ultraportable, the device also packs eSIM technology allowing users to download and activate eSIM profiles.

As part of launch offer, Swift 7 will come with 1 GB free data for one month in 48 countries. Swift 7 will pack 256 GB PCIe SSD for storage along with 8 GB LPDDR3 RAM. Acer has also added a fingerprint reader along with Windows Hello authentication for password-free authentication. The device also comes with a backlit keyboard which allows users to work in dimly-lit environments.

Acer has priced the base model of Swift 7 at $1,699 which converts to about Rs 1,07,504 at the time of writing. It will be available in North America starting March 2018 while customers in Europe, Middle East and Africa will get their hands on the laptop from April 2018.
