All you iPad owners would love to know what more you could do with the front facing camera that’s now a part of your coveted tech.
Track your moves!
Jeremie Francone and Laurence Nigay, students from the Laboratory of Informatics of Grenoble have developed an app that using the head-tracker technology can create a surface with illusion-ary depth. The app primarily tracks the movement of your eye, using the front facing camera based on which it creates the 3D illusions. Simply put, the objects on display will move as per the movement of the user’s head.
The potential success of this app will only mean the complete absence of 3D glasses in the 3D scheme of things. One could expect interesting transformations with the use of this app. Games could get more expressive and would also have a quality enhancing effect on other apps. However, the concept is still in its formative stages, and far from being available for downloads. But, needless to say, we’re excited!
