Looks like India’s wait for the official Nexus 4 launch will come to an end soon. A reputed online retailer has put up a listing of the Nexus 4, but the phone is currently out of stock. The Nexus 4 is priced at Rs 25,990 on the site with a year’s warranty.
Launched last year, the Nexus 4 has been available in the grey market for quite some time, but this means buyers don’t get the bill and warranty for the phone. And we have wondered in the past when Google will be launching the phone in India.
Nexus 4 is out of stock at the moment
When the Nexus 7 was launched on the Google Play Store earlier this year, it was believed that the smartphone would follow soon. And then when LG launched the Nexus 4’s near-twin the Optimus G, we reckoned the Nexus 4 is just around the corner. But there is still no indication that the smartphone will be available on the Google Play Store soon.
It’s easy to see why the buzz about this smartphone is so high. With a quad-core 1.5GHz processor, a 720p display and 8-megapixel camera, the phone checked all the right boxes last year and was especially attractive thanks to the price. And despite the launch of 1080p-display-toting phones this year, the Nexus 4 offers a stock Android experience unlike any other smartphone. While the likes of Galaxy S4 and HTC One will take their time getting the latest version of Android, expected to be unveiled at Google I/O, updates are delivered to the Nexus 4 as soon as they are out.
