Lenovo launches two Windows 8 notebooks in India, starting at Rs 48,990

Lenovo has announced two new Windows 8 notebooks in India — IdeaPad Y500 and IdeaPad Z500. While the IdeaPad Y500 starts at Rs 64,290, the IdeaPad Z500 is Rs 48,990.

Lenovo launches two Windows 8 notebooks in India, starting at Rs 48,990

Lenovo has announced two new Windows 8 notebooks in India — IdeaPad Y500 and IdeaPad Z500. While the IdeaPad Y500 starts at Rs 64,290, the IdeaPad Z500 is Rs 48,990. The notebooks contain third generation Intel Core processors and run Windows 8 OS. Key features of the devices are as follows: Lenovo IdeaPad Y500: This has a 15.6-inch LED backlit widescreen HD display. It has a third generation Intel Core i7 processor and NVIDIA graphics processor. It has up to 8GB RAM memory, and 1TB HDD storage. The computer has one USB 2.0 and two USB 3.0 ports, HDMI Port and a 6-in-1 card reader, along with  Bluetooth 4.0 support. It also has Gigabyte LAN or 10/100/1000 LAN for super speed data buffering during gaming. [caption id=“attachment_614412” align=“alignleft” width=“380”] ![IdeaPad Y500. Lenovo IdeaPad Z500: Lenovo claims that this is the slimmest laptop available in India. It comes in two colours: dark chocolate and enamel white. It has a 15.6-inch LED backlit HD widescreen display with a 3rd gen Intel Core i7 processor. It has a dedicated 2GB NVIDIA Graphics card and upto 8GB DDR3 memory. It also has up to 1TB HDD storage. It comes with Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity. The notebook also has Intelligent Touchpad — which is optimised for the new Windows 8 interface with easy scroll, zoom and rotate functions Both devices come with a 2 year warranty and include accidental damage warranty.
